Class 2 Trip

On Monday Class 2 had a very enjoyable trip to Rye Harbour.   The weather was perfect and stayed dry and the children learnt all about the birds that nest on the estuary.  They collected beach items and then made wonderful art.   Thank you to our parent helpers on the day and to Miss Bignell for organising a really lovely day out.

Sublime Science

On Wednesday 5th July we had a visit from Sublime Science.   A fantastic company that brings the 'fun' to science for children.   There were many exciting experiments and, best of all it would seem for the children (!), they made slime!

A BIG thank you to Artie's mum and dad who organised and paid for the whole day.

New Parent Evening and Taster Day

We were very pleased to welcome our new families to Colliers Green on Wednesday Evening and for the taster morning on Thursday.   We are so looking forward to welcoming you to the Colliers Green Family in September.

Swimming at Dulwich Prep

There was a mix of races against three other schools and Colliers Green won almost half of the races that the team was entered into.  Events included front crawl, breast stroke, back stroke and relay races.

It was a brilliant effort from our team.  Calypso was the star performer winning all of the races she entered, an amazing effort!

Forest School News

Last weekend, the really, rather wonderful Steve Green created our brand new Forest School kitchen assisted by Katy Green and me. He has transformed the fruit crates that were kindly donated by Clockhouse Farm into a spectacular modular kitchen complete with washing up facilities, storage and food prep area. We can't wait to start cooking up many woodland culinary delights with the children!

A huge thank you to the Greens for giving up their weekend.

There are still a few more jobs that need to be done so if you would like to join me for a morning of volunteering in the wonderful woods on the morning of Sunday 16th July then please let the office know or sign up via the form that will be coming out in Studybugs.
