Clubs

We are very pleased that the uptake on our clubs has been vastly improved.

We are largely running these in house and for this term we have run most of them free of charge.   We may levi a very small charge next term.   This will enable us to buy much needed equipment and materials for these clubs.

Swimming

We were planning to run swimming this term and next but unfortunately, use of the pool was no longer available to us.

We are currently negotiating rescheduling these lessons in Term 5 and 6.

Coffee Morning

Thank you to the PTFA for organising the recent coffee morning.   It is a shame that there weren't the attendees we would have liked, particularly as we had organised outside speakers from Fegans to offer parenting support.

School Photos next week

The school photographer will be in next week on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th.    If you do not wish your child to be photographed please let us know before Monday.  These pictures are for you to purchase for family members and we do use them in house for our daily registers.  If it is a PE day for your class and you wish them to be in uniform for their photograph, please provide a uniform to change into.

If you have preschool children you wish to be photographed with other siblings, please book your slot via Google Classroom.

Dates for your diary

We list all upcoming events on our website.   This is at the bottom of the home page for your ease and quick reference.

Forest School

A BIG thank you to Mr and Mrs Edwards and Grandad, Iris's mum and dad and grandad for fixing the stairs to our tree bog.    They are fantastic!

Harvest festival

Our Harvest Festival will be held on Thursday 6th October at 9:30am. The service will contain a mix of songs and poems. You are welcome to attend if you wish, but places are strictly limited to two per child, owing to lack of space at the back of the hall. There will be some seating available, but the majority will need to stand to watch.

This year we will be collecting donations of non-perishable items for the food bank in Paddock Wood, the Community Storehouse. Please bring in anything that you wish to donate (in-date items only please) from Monday 3rd October. Thank you.

Car park

Please can we remind people to park sensibly, and to not double-park. Even if the other person doesn't mind, it reduces visibility between cars and could cause an accident. Engines should not be left idling whilst you are parked.

Please can we also ask that parents and children that waiting, wait on the grassy area inside the wooden barriers. Again, people standing in the main car park reduces visibility and increases the likelihood that someone may get hurt.   For your child's safety, please make sure you bring your child up to this same grassy area so that they are not walking in the carpark on their own.   You can leave your child when they are asked to line up, freeing up spaces in the carpark and improving the flow of the traffic.

We are sure you appreciate that we are lucky to have this space available to us, after many years of squeezing on the roadsides, and we need to make sure that it is used as safely as possible.
