Belated Happy New year to you all. We are pleased to have everyone back, well rested and refreshed. We have had a fabulous couple of weeks back already and the children are full of enthusiasm.
We have made some plans already for the next few terms; sports tournaments, an author visit, creepy claws visitor, pirate day and (most excited about) a dinosaur visit!
Keep an eye out for letters via email and Studybugs.
If you have new contact details please keep us informed.
We sent out last week detailed information about Severe Weather Guidance. Please make yourself familiar with the procedures in the event of Severe Weather. Most importantly, please make sure we have the most current contact details and that you have access to Studybugs. We will use this first and foremost to advise should it be necessary to close the school. This may be the case also during the course of a school day. In this case it is important to have a plan in place should your child need to be collected during the day.
It is a good idea to keep an eye on the weather. Make sure your child is dressed for the weather and make a plan if snow is forecast.
Please offer your support to our range of clubs!
Premier Sport this term are Hockey and Netball and they represent very good value for money at just £2.75 per session!
Guidance has changed surrounding isolations:-
Changes to the self-isolation period for those who test positive for COVID-19
From Monday 17 January, people who are self-isolating with COVID-19 will have the option to reduce their isolation period after 5 full days if they test negative with a lateral flow device (LFD) test on both day 5 and day 6 and they do not have a temperature. For example, if they test negative on the morning of day 5 and the morning of day 6, they can return to their education or childcare setting immediately on day 6.
The first test must be taken no earlier than day 5 of the self-isolation period, and the second must be taken the following day. All test results should be reported to NHS Test and Trace.
If the result of either of their tests is positive, they should continue to self-isolate until they get negative results from two LFD tests on consecutive days or until they have completed 10 full days of self-isolation, whichever is earliest.
Anyone who is unable to take LFD tests or anyone who continues to have a temperature will need to complete the full 10 day period of self-isolation.
We have available a very handy spreadsheet which will detail dates for return and testing. If you do test positive, please let us know and we would be happy to send this to you.
