Parent Consultations

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for their Zoom conversation with their child's teacher. We are really pleased with the uptake, thank you. It is so good to be able to have these conversations with you and to work together to best support our children.

Breakfast Club

We have a few families using our Breakfast Club which is great to see. A big plea to other families who are considering using the club, PLEASE do use it. The numbers at the moment are so small that the club is in danger of not being sustainable unless the numbers increase.

EYFS Request

Class 1 are hoping to do some planting very soon! If anyone has any pots or compost at home that you do not need, our Class 1 children would be pleased to receive it. Any questions - please speak to Miss Evans, Mrs Everett or Mrs Eden.  Thank you.

Library

This week we have had a visit from School Library Systems to set up our lending system within the new library area.  This is fantastic as soon children will be able to borrow books from the library and take them home, encouraging children to read more and a wider variety of books.  We want to say an enormous thank you to all the parent volunteers that came in to the library and sorted books and applied stickers!

Fantastic Fred

We are pleased to announce on Monday 24th May we are hosting a visit from the touring company Fantastic Fred.    This is a live performance aimed at primary school children to encourage good habits to help with mental health.  It is  designed to build resilience (one of our core values!) and encourage children to build memorable and practical ways to take care of their mental health.   Thank you to Mrs Salter for organising the day for the children.

The Pond

We are hopeful to start the mammoth task of rejuvenating our beloved dipping pond.  The pond is located by the orchard.  It will need a great deal of time, effort and money but the potential benefits to the children, we feel, will be well worth it.

If you have any expertise in this area or feel you can donate time (or some money!) to the project, please can you contact Miss Potts via the Office email address.

Thank you!

Clubs

Most clubs have now restarted with a few more potentially to restart next term.

Unfortunately, attendance hasn't been particularly high which does put the clubs into doubt going forward to next term. We may have to amalgamate some to make the numbers work.

Please offer your support of clubs if you can in order that we can keep them available.

Thank you,
