Collective Worship during COVID-19
During COVID-19 Collective Worship has continued in a variety of forms.
Between March and the end of May CW resources were sent out to parents from a variety of sources, including Canterbury Diocese. Mrs Hirst recorded some CW and these were sent out to all households, sometimes with added tasks for pupils to complete. This continued when Years R, 1 and 6 returned in Term 6 when a two pronged approach took place with CW in school and at home.
Since September 2020 return of all pupils, we are not able to use the hall to be altogether. We took advantage of the lovely weather at the beginning of the academic year to hold Monday and Friday CW outside, with pupils sat in Bubbles. Since the onset of wintery weather, Monday CW is held via Zoom, led by Mrs Hirst. Friday Celebration Worship happens in a class based format with Mrs Hirst visiting each class for a celebration of the week and the delivery of certificates.
Caroline Turvey is delivering one CW a week via Zoom, we are accessing one CW a week from Rebecca Swansbury at the Diocese and then the final one is class based, following Diocesan plans and continuing the theme started on Mondays.
