Class 3 won their match 13-1! With Archie C scoring 7 goals!

Class 4 won 3-2 in a really close game with Evie C and Leo (2) scoring the goals.

There were 16 different schools taking part split into 4 groups of 4. Our girls were amazing, winning their group and getting all the way to the semi-final!

I could not have been prouder about the way they all ran, they all had such a positive attitude and showed a wonderful team spirit in their support of each other. They were the only school who had a high five line up at the finish and watching them cheering their team mates with a high five summed up the whole event. It was a hot afternoon and the distances were challenging - but they rose to the challenge and we had some great results. Special mention to Sophie Rivers who finished 8th out of about 90, and Oran Lott who charged in at 10th in a similar number of runners. But well done to them all - Charlie Edwards, Jack Fry, Florence Martin, Esther Leah, Max FitzGerald, Eva Jarrett, Calypso-Rose Gibbs, Emily Stirling and Jamie Cheal.

The staff and parents would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to the wonderful Mrs Addis who organised and encouraged the children so well at the event. We feel very lucky to have been injected by her enthusiasm for exercise and running in particular. The morning running sessions are having such a positive impact both mentally and physically on the children.

Today Team CG sent 2 teams (Class 3 & Class 4) to the Dodgeball Tournament at Brenchley and Matfield school. They played 2 other schools: Brenchley and Matfield, and Frittenden. Miss Hopkins and a supportive group of parents accompanied the teams who played with enthusiasm despite being amongst the youngest there. We may not have won this time but all players made us extremely proud and showed a wonderful sense of camaraderie. A special mention to Monty, who was awarded a good sportsmanship medal for CG.

Then we all gathered on the multi in glorious technicolour for our HUMAN RAINBOW - a HUGE thank you to James Potts for coming along with his drone & taking the photos...FABULOUS!!

The activities this morning included: Year 6 - Escape Room, Year 5 & 4 - an EGGsiting Bouncy Egg STEM activity, Year 3 - Growth Mindset, Year 2 - Prayer Space, Year 1 - Mindfulness.

After lunch KS1 read the story of the dot and watched the incredible story of Austin and the Butterfly and KS2 were all had the opportunity to try some yoga - they can all now do a sun salutation...some are keen to do it every morning from now. 

The children have entered whole-heartedly into the spirit of things and we wish we could record all the positive and thought-provoking comments they are making. Please share any feedback via email.
