Mrs Tompsett (aka Dormouse) joined us for a game or three of Vanish and an exciting woodland version of 40:40.

We gathered around to see the first primroses in the woods and discussed why and how they have increased in number since Forest School started here 3 years ago.

This time it was all to do with cooking in the wild with the chance to prepare, cook and enjoy pancakes and hot chocolate around the fire circle.

All the children chose to get involved with the Dragon's Dare this week and collected tinder, kindling and fuel, prepared batter and boiled the Kelly Kettle. The reward, we all agreed, tasted all the better for having been worked for.

We began by thinking of some of the ways we could embrace our values at Forest School by loving the world, each other and ourselves. The children then spotted an envelope attached to the tree with the message: OPEN....if you dare. They dared!!!
