Dragon's Drive Firey Challenge
Oak Group were set the challenge of working in teams to boil water in a Kelly Kettle for hot chocolate and then to maintain the fire in order to toast their marshmallows to make a s'more.
They were given the two top tips from when they did this activity in Year 5......"preparation is key" & "you will need more kindling than you think."
With this is mind, the children set to work preparing their fire area and gathering hanging deadwood to use as kindling and organised it into three thicknesses. They were given cotton wool and a twizzler as tinder. It was then a matter of focus, teamwork and resilience. Watch this week's video to see how they all did.....
