Session 1
Beautiful autumn sunshine and a surprise visitor, Mrs Tompsett, made our first visit back to the woods very special. The children enjoyed exploring Larch Camp and were amazed to discover a partially uprooted tree. We kept well away but enjoyed watching it gently swaying in the breeze. This prompted lots of discussion about how to keep ourselves safe in the woods as well as how to look after our woodland environment.
Apologies for the lack of photos this week but I can assure you the children had a fantastic time: creating art from natural objects, playing in the mud kitchen, constructing bug houses, problem solving how to join conkers together, making up games to play for our 'Little Larch Friends' and demonstrating what a wonderful group they are going to be to work with over the next few weeks.
