Newsletter No 12 - 1st April 2022

Easter

Happy Easter Everyone.

We hope that you have a fabulous restful Easter break.

We return to school on Tuesday 19th April.

A message from Miss Hopkins

I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy Easter break. It's been a busy term that seems to have flown by. I've seen lots of fabulous learning take place in all the classes, and so many children have been excited to share what they have been doing. A big thank you and well done to them for all their hard work.

It seemed as though spring had arrived in all its glory last week, and then this week...snow! Fingers crossed the weather sorts itself out in order for us all to enjoy a little sunshine over the next couple of weeks.

I hope you all have a restful break, and spend some lovely time as a family. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Parent Consultations

Are now available for booking via the Google Classroom for each class.

Please note that there are virtual sessions and face to face sessions on different days, so please make your selection with this preference in mind.

Swimming for Class 3

Commences on Thursday 28th April 2022.

Please make sure your child has their kits with them for this as, unfortunately, we cannot take any children that are unprepared.   We suggest that children wear a swimsuit under their uniform with underwear in a swim bag to change into for after their session.

Huge THANK YOU to Bethany School for providing us use of their pool and for Benenden School for providing us with minibuses to and from the pool.    We simply couldn't do it without their very generous help.

Forest School

Year 4 will commence forest school on the 22nd April for 4 weeks, their final session being 13th May.

Creepy Claws Visit - Class 2

We are very pleased to confirm that Class 2 will have a visit from Creepy Claws with a fantastic selection of 'creepies' to have a close look at on Tuesday 26th April.

Thank you

To Mr and Mrs Skinner and Stanley for fixing the bridge to the carpark area.

We really appreciate it!

Clubs

All clubs restart from Week 1 aside from yoga which unfortunately will not be able to continue next term.   We are looking into an alternative provider of this club.

With regards to Art club we will commence from the first Thursday but we will be asking parents to sign up for this via Google Classroom on the Tuesday 19th on a first come first serve basis with limits on numbers.    In order to secure the place we do ask that payment is made directly to Mrs Rix and will provide you with details to do this on the 19th.

BIG thank you to Mrs Rix for a most enjoyable club! We have seen a fantastic selection of creations emerge from the den!

Attached to this newsletter are the details for Premier Sports Clubs next term.    These are subsidised by the school and represent very good value for money at just over £2 a session!   Please support these clubs in order to keep them running.
