     PTFA

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY – Saturday 20th November 2021 Autumn Fair at the Vestry Hall in Cranbrook.

DONATIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED OF THE FOLLOWING:-

  • New or great condition teddies and toys for the Teddy Tombola and Toy Stall.
  • Homemade crafts and gifts for the Craft Stall.  Many parents and relatives in the past have made wonderful handmade Christmas themed decorations e.g. stockings, candle holders and decorations and these were very popular.
  • Home Produce Stall always needs lots of donations of chutneys, jams, cakes, biscuits and savoury items to fulfil the hungry customers.
  • Any queries on whom or how to donate any items please either contact the school office or the PTFA.

CHANGE OF DATE CAKE SALE ROTA - Recently the cake sale rota was sent out with the dates for the three houses to donate food items.  Hever’s date was due to be on Friday 22nd October 2021 which is an Inset Day.  Therefore the new date for this house will be Thursday 21st October 2021.

The PTFA is always looking for preloved uniform that they can sell from the uniform store.  Please think of donating any items you no longer require.

The next PTFA meeting will be held on Monday 11th October 2021 at 2pm in the main hall.  Please enter via the school office.  Everyone is welcome so please feel free to come along for a chat over a tea or coffee.  We’re a friendly bunch and would welcome any money-raising ideas for the school, especially for Christmas.

Every pound we raise helps the school in providing the children with materials or activities!   Your continued support is most gratefully received.

Harvest Service

Thank you very much for your generous donations for our Harvest Service on 7th Oct.  Unfortunately we suffered an IT failure (!!) and so despite painstakingly filming the entire service, the recording has not appeared!  We will re-film the class performances and share them with you next week.

Food donations will be given to the Paddock Wood Food Bank next week.  Thank you to Mrs Salter for taking these donations to the Food Bank for us.

Library

We are very pleased to confirm that the new library is up and running and open to children.   Each class will have a lunchtime session in the library;

Class 2 on Mondays

Class 3 on Tuesdays

Class 4 on Wednesdays

Children are able to loan books from the library and they have a week to return them.

Thank you to our parent helpers over the last (many!) weeks and Mrs Gibbs for getting the system up and running.
