Curriculum

At Colliers Green CE Primary School we have adopted a creative curriculum where children learn through termly topics which incorporate a range of curriculum areas such as Geography and History, aimed at making learning rich and exciting for the children. For each topic the children will go on a visit or have a workshop in school to help bring their learning to life.

We aim to develop independence and resilience in our children and encourage them to take pride in their work and always do their best. Homework links to learning in class and parents are asked to support this. Our curriculum provides continuity and progression across the school and will be adapted to meet the needs of all learners. The curriculum fully meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, the National Curriculum and the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.

We follow the Read Write Inc Phonics programme for EYFS and Year 1.

EYFS

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is designed to enable children to build a secure foundation to progress through school and life. It is aimed at children from 0 - 5 years and is a requirement of all pre-schools, nurseries and school setting. More details can be found on the links below.
