Class 4 enjoyed an 'Ancient Greek' workshop.Set in the ancient Athenian Agora over 2500 years ago, the children experienced a variety of activities.
The Agora was a very busy place where you could buy all manner of goods as well as get treated for ailments and discuss philosophy with the great thinkers of the time!
The day included drama activities to retell ancient Greek myths together with processions in honour of the goddess Athena.
A mini museum enabled the children to handle original artefacts whilst everybody was also given the opportunity to create their own tile as a memento of the day.
Bull jumping and an Olympic Games, featuring the noble sport of thumb wrestling, completed our fun packed day of learning about the Ancient Greeks.
